Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PlayServs Player handles information when you use PlayServs Player applications for Smart TVs and compatible devices, including Samsung Tizen and LG webOS, and related configuration services.

1. Information we process

Depending on how you use the app, PlayServs Player may process:

Account and authentication data, such as username, access code, server address and credentials entered by the user to connect to a configured media service.
Device and application identifiers, such as device ID, device key, app version, TV model and operating system information.
Network and technical information, such as IP address, connection status, diagnostic information and error logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Configuration and usage data, such as playlist URLs, configured list names, favorites, playback history, content categories and app preferences.

2. How we use information

To authenticate users and connect the app to services configured by the user.
To register and manage devices, playlists and app settings.
To provide playback, EPG, favorites, history and update functions.
To prevent abuse, enforce connection limits, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.
To provide customer support and respond to user requests.

3. Storage and retention

Some information may be stored locally on the TV or device to keep the app configured and improve usability. Server-side records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Local app data can generally be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the application.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, security or technical operations, and with third-party media services that the user explicitly configures in the app. Those third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. No system can guarantee absolute security.

6. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where the user is located, depending on the infrastructure used to deliver the service. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied.

7. Children

PlayServs Player is not specifically directed to children under 13. Parents or guardians should supervise use of media services by minors and ensure the content configured in the app is appropriate for them.

8. User choices and rights

Users may request access, correction or deletion of personal information where applicable by contacting us. Certain configuration data may also be deleted directly by removing a playlist, clearing application data or uninstalling the app.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
